Why? Because chicago is a solid team this year. This is not the Chicago Bears of the last two years. Cutler has shown so much poise in the Red zone in comparison to past seasons that its outrageous to think he is the same person. They know how to play now, and their coaches are clicking on offense. I love GB this year, but i think its a lil fishy that their only favored by 3 in the first place and we know MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is NUTZ.

But all bias aside, im not totally convinced by the saints who beat a pretty bad Vikings team which has only one offensive touchdown in their first 2 games. however San Fran is no bargain, getting completely man handled by the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
doesnt make me a happy camper ...

So I am going to go out on a limb and Put up my picks early. I have a hunch on both these games and i think that even though many people wont follow me on these, they are winners for sure.

1. UNDER 36.5 Baltimore V NYJ
They are trying to get you to bet the over here by makin it easy, and although the ravens have the potential to put up Big Points, they will be playing more conservative against a two headed running attack of New York.

2. KC +4.5 V San Diego
Ok so everyone and their mom is going to say im crazy, but a home underdog on monday night ... I would lock this in now before the points go down to 3.5 .

Pitt is playing without Big Ben, and will have to keep the ball on the ground more often than they are accustomed to in past seasons. The Pitt Defense is the only edge that they have over ATL and will be looking to utilize that Defense and running game to win by a narrow margin. ATL has a very strong running and short passing game and i think we will see a ticking clock all day today.

2. Tampa Bay -3 V Cleveland
I initially came into this season thinking Cleveland was going to surprise some people, but I am starting to think the same about Tampa. The bucs have a good coach and a lot to prove at home this week... I know its tough to put hard earned cash on TB, but this is as close to a lock as I get.

3. Oakland +6 V Tennessee
Tennessee cant throw the ball very well and Oakland has one of, if not the Very best Run defense in football.
Expect a lil let down here...

This is a game where even though penn st is a high ranked team, one will be able to see the difference between a championship caliber team and the Upper Middle Class contenders. Penn is starting a True Freshman QB, in his first Road game against the toughest team in the land. I dont see this going well for Old man River's Penn St Squad.

6. UNLV +21.5 V UTAH
I just dont think you can pass this one up.

7. UCLA +6.5 V Stanford
I made this same play last season and got smoked.... I think it will go much different this time.

I like BYU as a program but there is something fishy about this whole game that makes me want to lay some action on it.

JAM PACKED SATURDAY

1. Tennessee +11 V. Oregon
Many people are going to get excited because Oregon slapped their incapable opponents last week, scoring 70+ points.
But to me that just has let down written all over it. Oregon will be playing an SEC team this week and although they are not the most intimidating SEC team i think TENNESSEE is a good bet here.

2. South Carolina -3 V Georgia
Georgia is supposed to rekindle their program this season after a disappointing effort in 09'-10', but i think this tough SEC foe will prove to be too much early on for Georgia.

Florida V USF......
I think you know why i dont like this one going over... USF blows, and if they are to keep a game it will be a close one with ball control because they are completely inferior when it comes to talent.

After tonight's results I think I know why i am the Pro football guy and John is the College Guy...
Cuz College Coaches anger me.

Anyways... so going 2-1 tonight puts us above 500 for the season, and makes a very good start to the pro season @ 2-0.
I am cooking up something for the WVU game, but lets look forward to a weekend jam packed with big time College games, and a lot of new faces in the pro circuit. ..

So i havent come to a conclusion on most of these games quite yet, i will say though that this week is going to be an excellent week of football started off by a thursday night filled with 2 Big College and one Pro game.

1. MISS ST +1.5 V Auburn

2. NEW ORLEANS - 4.5 V MINNESOTA
Brett Favre will not be ready to play the super bowl champs. These guys mean business and although let downs are abundant early, i would think that the Vikings have more to figure out in this game than their opponents.

Friday night we have Not only West Virginia Taking the field for the first time this season,
but i will also have the pleasure of seeing my high school alma mater get their ass kicked by one of the State's best teams.

Of course, we will get out coached as usual, and the Leominster Blue Devils, will go down in Defeat to Everett High on their own home field... no people i dont have a crystal ball, its something called COACHING.

So last time i checked, football was a game of inches and possession, but cant tell that by watching Frank beamers team, who couldnt keep a hold of the ball last night to save their lives, and yet still had a chance to win the game
and of course, bad coaching comes into play.

People heres some football knowledge, when your opponent has no timeouts, and you have the lead, with 2 min left.
YOU RUN THE BALL.

Third and eight the Hokies should have run to keep the clock ticking, that gives an additional 35 seconds off the game clock on fourth down, you take your five yards for delay of game, and punt to the other team with 1:25 left on the clock, YOU DONT PASS!!!!!!!!

SO we fall to 3-3 on the year, but honestly its very early so im glad to be anywhere at or above .500

So I hear a lot about how the Boise St. team is coming in to put up points in V Tech territory, and i have to say, I couldnt disagree more.
V Tech is looking for this game as a starting point to a great season, one which their talent level will keep them in the top 25 hopefully mostof the year... boise is out classed tonight in virginia.

With last year overwith we calculated a winning percentage of just over 50% (54 to be precise).
This is a good start to a long year folks, and when we take basketball out of the equation, which most people dont bet, we were at 60% accuracy last football season, which im sure we can improve on!!!
