The wizards are a lock tonight. Dallas is on the third of a 5 game road trip. They are tired and this is not a game in which you will see the REAL dallas squad play to its fullest potential.
The Mavericks Played a tough game against the Celtics the other night, preceeded by two tough games. Tonight they play a tough, and HOT Wizards team which matches up with them very well, and who has won two in a row without Gilbert "The gunman" Arenas.
Look for an upset tonight in Washington where the Wizards will continue to hunt for a playoff spot.
Toronto +2 V Milwaukee **
Milwaukee has been playing poorly as of late and if you look at who is scoring their points it is all their guards, Delfino and Jennings usually as high scorers. Bogut has been doing his thing, but nothing spectacular and with Toronto scoring the amount of points they have been, I feel like Milwaukee gets down early and it stays that way.

UNC's own coach said at the beginning of the season that they are simply not where they need to be in order to compete in tournament style play. Today they are playing a fresh GTECH team i think we get a win here

I believe miami will somehow lose this game tonight, but by a very very narrow margin. They match up extremely well against houston and the only downfall of betting Miami money line is that they are road weary and played a long fast paced game against the Warriors last game.
I think houston is a good, hard working team, but their personell down low leads them astray.

Tonight, The knicks are on their third game of a three game road trip in which they have dropped the first two games, shooting a low percentage and playing defense poorly. Their last outing against OK City is one in which the knicks scored under 90!!! for a team that set the record in three point attempts last month, they have to be able to score more than that on the road, especially against the better teams in the league. Sometimes I like to make a play on a team that has lost a couple in a row, because they played top competition and the level of their game is heightened. however, here the 76ers have also been playing well against the better teams in the league and they are WINNING!! so to me it seems like a no brainer tonight.
Furthermore, the 76ers are a team that is slowly coming together, AI is starting to shoot less and make more which is something he has had a problem with his whole hall of fame career. I think that tonight the 76ers are going to put the hurt on the KNICKS who simply cant play the type of Ruff and Rugged bball that you will see from this
Philly team the rest of the year.
Also, A lot of people think Iverson is going to be out tonight, but I believe he will play at least 22 mins.

Finley is out, which will put the Spurs in a position defensively, OR, they will bring manu on the floor early and often, which will make the Lakers Bench the Advantage.
I know it seems like a sucker bet, but how can we not bet on the lakers in this one?

This means that Dwight Howard will be getting the rock tonight and probably getting doubled. Normally I would say this will cater to foul trouble, but honestly tonight i think whole heartedly that the Kings will limit howards GOOD shots to a minimum.
On the other side of the coin, the Kings have been allowing evans to let loose and shoot as much as his heart desires. This has worked well for the most part, making the kings a possible playoff team in the latter part of the season, but I simply feel he will not be able to push the scoring overboard for two reasons. One, Pietrus is an excellent defender, as is Vince Carter and they will be sharing that duty all night. the second matchup reason is, I believe the young star has a lot to learn, and some of his rudimentary go to moves will be exploited by this top caliber team..

I am a huge fan of Memphis, but I think this team presents a tough matchup for them and i dont think memphis's offense is working like it should right now after a 1-2 performance their last three games.

However, Tonight they are playing a tough OK City team on their home floor and they have a similar strategy on offense with their Uptempo, shot heavy offense.
I believe Ok city is still trying to move to the upper echelon of the league and therefore cannot drop one tonight to a mid tier knicks team...

Miami has been playing particularly well at home lately and with Veteran Carlos Arroyo @ point guard there will be no drop off in productivity. The celtics, who have been plagued by many injuries as of late, now have a team flu going which has Doubtful for Eddie house and Questionable for K Perk.
Pierce is supposed to be back, as well as rondo and garnett, but I would not expect to see all three tonight.

Memphis + 5.5 v UTAH**
Once again we have Utah Giving too many points and everyone and their mother laying action on Sloan's team.
I like memphis to run it up here. Rudy gay is going to put the wood to UTAH, I know boozer will hold down Randolph but I think Gasol will be effective tonight. OJ mayo is going to have to switch onto Deron before the night is over, but very possible that the Grizz take down another one.

NCAA FOOTBALL
TONIGHT I AM ON GEORGIA TECH -6 V IOWA**
I am ALSO on THE OVER 51.5 ** (as seen on JOHNSBETS.BLOGSPOT.COM)
Tonight I think this will be a close game, but eventually Georgia Tech will have too many tricks in their bag for Iowa to hold. I think Big Ten teams have shown up well and it seems as if the Hawkeyes are the pick as far as the conference is concerned. But I believe the ACC is having a particularly strong year and Tonight we will see Georgia Tech Light up the score board late in the game after a struggle back and fourth early.
This will indeed be the toughest challenge of the year for Iowa and i think their QB is due for some mistakes having not played in Two Calendar months.

Tonight Houston +7 @ LAL **
Tonight I like the Houston rockets to pull one out in Los Angeles. The Rockets are a scrappy hard working team which does not match up incredibly well with the lakers, but who will do better tonight against a short handed lakers squad. Kobe always has trouble with shane battier, and I believe Ariza is looking to show his former home crowd that being traded after winning a Championship with him in the starting role is a little rude.
Orlando -11.5 V IND**
Indiana is not a good basketball team right now, while on the other Hand, orlando is on a very hot streak. It is my contention that Vince Carter is making his claim for a hall of fame ballot by playing to the absolute fullest of his capability this season. I believe Orlando is simply too athletic for the Pacers and when the home crowd starts leaving late in the third quarter, expect Indiana to pack it in.

NBA TONIGHT... GOT a GOOD ONE
BIG PICK...
Tonight I like NEW ORLEANS +8 @ UTAH ***
New orleans is getting 8 points tonight against the jazz. Early in the season The Hornets looked like they were simply too old to be able to hang in there with the better teams in the NBA. Their early losing streak hurt the public perception of their abilities and I believe they have been putting it together nicely.
As far as matchups go, I think that the hornets match up well on Offense and defense with the Jazz, who should not be giving 8 points to ANYONE.
David west is going to take the power forward, whether boozer or someone off the bench, out of the paint and allow driving lanes to the hoop for Paul and Brown.
The Jazz have been getting too much Hoopla in recent times about how good they are at home and whether or not they win this game I believe it will be closer than the spread indicates.

Boise st is an excellent upcoming program, the type that has maintained people's interest in college sports over the years, as they are an unexpected top ten team coming from a mid level conference. I mean ISNT THIS WHY WE LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL???
but as much as I love this team, plain and simple they are not, AND I REPEAT, not going to be able to hang with Texas Christian tonight.
TCU plays a much tougher schedule, which I am sure you have already heard. Furthermore, TCU's statistics are much more realistic because of that schedule, and it is much easier to make a REALISTIC read on them as opposed to Boise.
No offense to Boise, they do play SOME talented teams, but nothing the Caliber of BYU, AIR FORCE OR CLEMSON.

NBA TONIGHT and NFL 4pm
PHILLY @ DENVER UNDER 207.5 ***
The 76ers are at the tail end of a 6 game road trip. They are not playing very well against the better teams in the league. Tonight the Denver Nuggets will not have Chauncey B, and most likely will not have their leading scorer Carmelo Anthony for a second straight night.
the SIXERs look to slow the ball down as their strength is in the post.
LAKERS -6.5 V DALLAS **
Lakers Are at home tonight and I think that they need to make a statement against a good team after a couple shaky Games. Dallas historically has had some trouble guarding Kobe and they will either put jason kidd on him, boubeous( or however you spell it) , or maybe MARION ... but none of thm can guard the best player on earth.
Lamar odom will hold down dirk if he starts to go off, and this is also a revenge game as the lakers were crushed at home vs Dallas last year.

GREEN BAY +3 V ARIZONA**
green bay's defense is stellar. The Cardinals are a very good team, but they really do not run the ball. It will be essential for them to run the ball in order to maintain some sort of Time of Possession against strong attack of the packers.
